Lek. med. Bartłomiej Pogłódek

I am a physician with 11 years of professional experience, including 6 years working in a haematology centre. I began my career as a resident specialising in internal medicine at the Clinical Department of Allergy and Immunology at the University Hospital in Kraków. Subsequently, I was employed at the Department of Oncological Haematology with the Clinical Transplantology Subunit at the Podkarpackie Oncology Centre in Brzozów, where I completed my specialisations in internal medicine (2014) and haematology (2017). I am currently working at the Clinical Department of Haematology at the University Hospital in Kraków.

My experience includes independent work in the haematology ward (including on-call duties), day ward, and haematology outpatient clinic. I have diagnosed newly referred patients in the haematology clinic.

I have managed a wide spectrum of malignant and non-malignant haematological diseases, treating patients with acute and chronic leukaemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, polycythaemia vera, essential thrombocythaemia, primary myelofibrosis, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, anaemia, and thrombocytopaenia. I also have experience with autologous stem cell transplantation.

My main interests lie in general haematology, haematological diagnostics, and autoimmune diseases. I independently assess cytological preparations of peripheral blood and bone marrow samples.
