Our specializations

Dermatology

Dermatology is a medical specialisation dealing with a wide range of skin disorders as well as hair and nail diseases. At our Euromedica clinic in Krakow we specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases in accordance with the latest guidelines of renowned scientific societies. We boast excellently qualified staff working in interdisciplinary teams. This is particularly important as the role of the dermatologist is not only to treat simple disorders of the skin and its appendages, but also to assess whether a given disorder manifesting itself on the skin has a systemic origin (allergy, autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases or even cancer). Thanks to the cooperation of the dermatologist with other specialists: allergologists, haematologists, endocrinologists, gynaecologists, urologists or oncologists, treatment in Euromedica is characterised by professionalism with emphasis on comprehensive care while maintaining the safety and effectiveness of the recommended therapies.

DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF SKIN DISEASES

Accurate and detailed diagnostics are the foundation of well-matched therapy. They allow for individualized treatment and the creation of care plans tailored both to the specific condition and to the patient’s preferences. Diagnostics include a comprehensive medical examination using dermoscopy, biopsy, microbiological testing, and laboratory analysis.

CRYOSURGERY OF SKIN LESIONS

Cryosurgery is a minimally invasive yet highly effective method of locally treating skin lesions using equipment that generates low temperatures. In the hands of an experienced physician, this method is precise and safe. It allows for the permanent removal of various conditions, including warts, fibromas, sebaceous gland hyperplasia, actinic keratosis, corns, keloids, and leukoplakia.

SKINCARE EDUCATION

The specialist’s role is to provide knowledge about conscious skin care. Taking into account the individual condition of the skin, possible allergies, and the patient’s expectations, the doctor will select suitable skin care products, supplements, or recommend individually tailored treatments aimed at improving the skin’s appearance. They will also correct mistakes and improper habits that may have previously accompanied the patient’s skin care routine.

HAIR LOSS

Once again, we focus on professional diagnostics. Proper identification of the cause of hair loss is the key to therapeutic success. Dermoscopy, complemented by trichoscopy, combined with a medical interview and laboratory test results, provides a complete picture of problems affecting the hair and scalp, enabling the implementation of a personalized hair loss treatment plan.

DERMOSCOPY AND TRICHOSCOPY

Dermoscopy is an absolutely essential method for the accurate diagnosis and differentiation of skin lesions. A skilled dermatologist can detect pathological changes—even those suspected of being cancerous—at a very early stage through thorough dermoscopic examination. Dermoscopy is also suitable for monitoring the progress of dermatological treatment. It is a non-invasive and completely painless method.

VENEREOLOGY

Every dermatologist also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of venereal diseases, meaning sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Bearing in mind that such conditions affect the intimate sphere of life, at Euromedica we guarantee our patients complete discretion.
